Product Description

An Edwardian satinwood, polychrome-painted and canework twin-seat settee
The back with rectangular cane panel flanked to both sides by a panel pierced to the top with the feathers of the Prince of Wales above a painted oval, the oval on the left depicting a boy, and that on the right depicting a girl, all beneath a toprail painted with three cavorting putti, and all above a rail pierced with roundels, with canework seat between downswept open arms, the front seat rail centred by a panel painted with flowers, decorated all over with simulated ebony lines, and raised to the front on four tapering square-section supports terminating in spade feet, and to the rear with three outswept supports.
